Curbside Pickup for UWyo Libraries
As part of our changes due to Covid-19, the university libraries implemented a curbside pickup program so students, faculty, and library cardholders could still check out material without entering the building.
For this project, I decided on a station wagon carrying books for its lightheartedness as an image and for the way that it instantly conveys the message that this is a drive-up service for book and media rentals. I'm quite fond of this mustard color paired with other muted colors in a modified triad, and the mustard shade is not too far off from UW Gold, one of out university colors. I illustrated the station wagon and books in Adobe Illustrator using shapes and the pen tool. I also integrated the slogan at the bottom "We Got You" because it has been our motto for a while, even before Covid but especially now.
I also designed some social media collateral to announce the rollout of this program, as I do with all of our main announcements. This is the image we used for Twitter and our email blast:
